You can read more about my struggles with designing the layout of my One Block Wonder at this post from way back in 2009: http://ciemianquilts.wordpress.com/2009/05/08/just-sew-it/
I finally quilted it last month on my friend Paula’s Statler Stitcher with a tulip pattern. She is great to let me use it!
You can see what is left of the original fabric on the back:
I can’t tell you how thrilled I am to have this project complete at long last. I have two more UFO’s to post but neither felt as good as getting this quilt DONE!

I am a semi-retired, very happily married quilter and papercrafter from Northern Texas. Whenever I am in town, I like to hang out with friends and either quilt or make cards.

I was wondering why you didn’t show this for show & tell last night!! Glad you posted it on your blog–it turned out BEE-YOU-TI-FUL!! It does feel good finishing things up, doesn’t it?
I was still sewing on the binding during show & tell. I think I may bring it next month. I don’t really like it that much but it is different.
I think it’s bee-you-tiful too! You’re just tired of it ’cause it’s been around so long. Hide it in a closet for a while and you may like it better!
